Reaper’s Rick Gonzalez talks to Urban Latino about his new movie “Illegal Tender”
Rick Gonzalez is a great young man. I really think they need to use him, as Ben, more on Reaper. I think his character has a lot of potential, and that he has the tools to make the show better.
Check out this great interview with Rick Gonzalez. It’s an entire eight-and-a-half minutes of Rick Gonzalez. He is a passionate man who loves what he does.
In it he talks about:
- His love of working on challenging projects, things that make the most of who he is as an actor.
- How much he loves to work with great people, and how he has had great opportunities to work on really good things.
- Growing up in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
- How great a time this is for Latino artists, and his pride for all the great Latino artists that are out there doing good movies, and music, and embracing their art.
- His funny, artistic family, and how that equipped him, and made him who he is.
- “The Rookie” as his biggest break, so far. He expresses his appreciation for John Lee Hancock who put a lot of trust in him.
- Working with Tom Cruise in “War of the Worlds”, saying working with his hero was surreal.
- How Latinos should support “Illegal Tender”, a movie that’s for their culture and their time, well acted, well directed, with lots of flavor.
- The speed with which they shot the movie, in about four weeks.

I have to say that I am very impressed with the way Rick presents himself in his movies. He is very passionate in all his roles. I never knew, going to JHS and high school with him, that he was that great. I just wish him the best and wanted to say that I am truly proud to have grown up with him. God bless you Rick. Represent the New Yoricans!!!!

rick doesnt have a fiancee’ im his fiancee’ n wifey,rick just told her n everybody else that so he can get some or maybe not idk the only thing i know is he’s not getting married anytime soon
