Reaper Season 2 Ideas
Well, now that Reaper Season 1 has finished, we have a lot to look forward to in Season 2.
The last few episodes of Season 1, epecially the season finale, threw us a lot of new stuff to explain. So, here are a few questions that I think are going to be important to cover in Reaper Season 2.
- The demon rebels are still at it.
- What the heck are Sam’s parents? Are his parents demons?
- Are those demons still going to be after Sam?
- Will Tony still help Sam?
- Is Tony going to return to the pacifist ways of Steve?
- If the contract is different than we first thought, what is it?
- If Sam is really the Devil’s son, what’s up with that? What exactly does that mean?

I love Reaper I hope they make another season, what I do think is strange is that earlier on in the series Sam has a love interest with a girl he believes to be the Devils daughter, the story line sort of fizzled out but does that mean he was kissing his sister? Or maybe there is yet another twist.

What threw me off at the end of the finale, was his father being dug back up after being buried. I thought he was dead after that. I’m thinking his parents that he grew up with are demons or something. Can’t wait for season 2 for some answered questions.

i personnally think the character we think is the devil at the mo is a representitive for hm and who we think is sams dad is the devil hence he didnt die and sams mum said he was definately his father

I recon it’s all a mix up… and that Sam is actually “God’s son” (jesus mk II) so to speak…
“keep your friends close and your enemies closer” - so the devil is being super nice to sam (most of the time)…
that’s my tuppence.

For Sam being the devil’s son, i think that to obvious to be true. Moreover Lucifer wouldn’t be so sweet even with his own son if he betrayes him (rebelion of demons)… For me his parents are definitly demons… nor Mr. Oliver is himself God. So that Sam is son of the devil and God… sounds weird, but Lucifer said he loves G. so he’d their kid… then he tries to attracts him. Sam is a challenge for both parts… More that explain devil’s joke about homosexuals, he is himself gay; and the reason he doesn’t want to met Sam’s father.
I hope season two will brings such answers

Look all of you nerds who probably are just saying something to be famous. Sam is the son of the Devil and the whole fact of his father coming back to life is that te agreement was that Sam’s dad wanted to be bigshot lawyer and have a kid. Therefore he can’t be killed by other demons which those group of people were.

I don’t know if anybody here has ever seen the film “Warlock” but it can be, that Sam’s parents have had made a deal with the D to give him their first borne child as son in exchange for immortality. I like that thought. Would make that deal for myself ;)
But as it happens to be, i think that there will be a lot more thing’s to be explained.

The season 2 has to improve the story, talking about Sam as the author of Revelation show him going to hell and see your domain and this thing, but that may be in another season (I think to me very advance).

I cant wait for season 2. Reaper is just great. Only didn’t like how the Cadi story just disappeared. A fight btw her and Andi is overdue.
I thought like Dave, that the Devil isn’t really the Devil. But the other demons recognise him as that. Maybe he is the son of God. and this is all a test prove that even though the devil has influence Sam will never turn evil

i think you should do a aseason 2 of reaper because i want to find out who sams parent(s) is(are), if tony and the other demons are going to go back to heaven who sams mom is will he get married and etc.

I agree with robert that’s what popped into my head when the mom dug the dad up, that maybe they conceived and raised the devils son in return for inmortality or certain special powers.

My theory is that Sam is God’s son, not the Devil’s, hence Steve the angel coming back to help him.

Maybe he is, but i don´t think that Steve came back to help him for Sam´s sake. Remember how the demons tried to stop the devil by doing good things? Maybe this was one of those good things. To show the devil that good is stronger and that God is mightier…we just have to guess until season 2 comes.

To autumn.. i really don’t think you and everybody else’s opinions and ideas are going to influence the writers. Do you really think the writers would come on here looking for some ideas?? they have their own plans, what we have seen so far is pure genius and i’m sure the writers have something completely awesome in store for us.. Besides, if they used any of the ideas on this site then where is the surprise and the excitement of not knowing what to expect..?

no i understand that, but its just the way in which i interpreted autumn’s comment.. It will be interesting to see if anybody is correct in their guesses however i do think that the one that makes the most sense is that Sam’s parents are demons. That’s why Tony didn’t save Sam’s dad from the pit because he knew that he is a demon and therefore wouldn’t die..

does anybody remember the part just after Sam and the devil have an encounter in the brickhouse. And just as Sam leaves the devil changes the song on the jukebox and its quite a heartfelt song and a sentimental moment.. Does anybody have ideas?? Does this song have any specific meaning for him? A memory maybe? hint hint the devil was in love with Sam’s mum.. haha thats just a speculation.. But i’d like to hear people’s thoughts on this part..!!

I think it means something more too…i think it´s building up to something that we can´t figure out yet. Maybe he´s not the devil at all, maybe just “Satan´s little helper” or something…or maybe the devil isn´t so tough, maybe he has good feelings inside. He seems to have been hurt by someone. Or maybe it´s just his pride that´s taken a torn.

This is the greatest site ever! I just read all the comments straight through! Everyone has such good observations. Sam being the son of God or the son of the devil, being tempted like Jesus was; the parents being demons, i think they’re possibly immortal like the others are saying, because he was not nearly as strong as a demon to get thrown into that cage, but maybe he had to pretend to be human in front of Sam…
Ben called it in the first episode when he said something about free will, that his parents can’t make a deal for Sam’s soul. Andi mentioned it later to Tony also, when she talked him into looking at the contract.
The Cady part is great, the “okay, now let me tell you a little bit about me…” when she freaked out Andi at the Work Bench.
I wonder if it’s possible that Sam could be the son of God, the Devil is trying to tempt him slowly to come over to his side, to get confused about the his ethics and morals and all that, but in fact God is also trying to tempt the Devil into being good at the same time. God trying to trick the Devil into being more humble and coming back or something.

I readied your comments and then i got allot of doubts about your ideas!
In my point of view the things are just like this:
-Sam really is the son of Lucifer ( It´s explains my actions taken by him! After all is the darkness ruler! Meaning he doesn´t cares a little for the souls under is domain or the demons. In some death situations Sam was save by him! If he was just a reaper he would not care if he died or no!
One reaper dead another would take is place and he would win a soul! And we saw that he takes in attention to Sam opinions and whishes!)
-The (Sam parent´s) i am pretty shore they were humans that made a deal, where they got immortality, and as they part of the deal they would rise Lucifer son. (By other words they are n´t Sam parents in blood!)
Why i think that? Simple! In the tarot, the reader sayed something about death on a birth!
And if you remind a little, Lucifer was a angel and still a angel! Fallen! But still a angel! And like all angels, when a woman carries a child of him, she dies giving birth to the Nephilim!
-By being his son! Sam get´s all Lucifer angelic powers! He cannot became the heir of darkness because that power was given to Lucifer by god himself! Just like he did for Water, Air, Fire, Earth, Light, Death and Life! Gabriel, Raphael, Michael, Uriel, Asrael… the rest of the angels names i dont remember! And Lucifer has to rule the Darkness forever alone! ( in the rebellion on heaven he whished for the power to rule! God gived it to him! lol But you may guess that wasn’t what he wanted!)
-Sam has free-will! Meaning! None couldn´t have done any pact about his soul whitout is consent!
And we saw the demon saying that Sam contract was diferent! Remember? I think the word the demon wanted to use was: Fake!
-Now we will have to uncover the true about his birth and by the way, capturing the escape souls and fighting the rebels demons!
-Even being a Nephilim he still has a soul! Nephilim are like Angels it souls! The reason why God was so angry about the Nephilim was because for ever one that was born a woman died!
-Guys remember one thing! God always follows the rules! So he will no interfere it Sam destiny! He will just let him chose his way!

Yeah very true Autumn.. Made me question how much i actually did know about the show.. But then i realised that it was just a pile of garbage that 1.) made no sense and 2.) had so many spelling mistakes that it was like reading something written by a pre schooler… once again i mean no offence by this, just making an honest observation that i’m sure most people would agree with..

Yes i saw the same show that you guys did! And yes i also have allot of theology knowledge!
From what i saw in the show, they are using theology on it! If they were not! We weren´t able to understand a thing from what was going on!
If you did not understand! You can make a search on internet! Just search: Free-Will, Nephilim, Fallen Angels, Lucifer or Lucifel or Kasbel (The devil names) and search too, the reasons for Lucifer fall!
A tip! Lucifer was a seraphim and also one of the 8 Princes! (This part is more advanced go on if really care to understand or you will not get it!)

It´s not strange that some people can´t talk or spell english very well, but it was hard to read with so many spelling mistakes. But not everyone knows english perfect. Silvius seems to know more about Satan, devils, fallen angels then i do, but the series Reaper is most a comedy so i guess the writers/directors has their own interpretation.

And i know this is a comedy/Drama serie, but still they have to follow some rules!
And i believe that in this show we are going see the 2 faces from Lucifer! The dark ruler that everyone knows and the Father love and cares about is son!

Silvius . they really dont HAVE to follow any rules. The devil, controls hell, and there’s God… that’s about it. It’s a comedy, it’s fantasy, and we’re all just speculating on how the story continues, Not expecting to read revelations and see it play out. But I think bringing up Nephilim was just a bit too much for this discussion.
P.S. I still think he’s the Son of God :)

Yeh the show is more a comedy so i really don’t think they will flood us with knowledge from the bible and all of this theology stuff.. It will be straight and simple yet effective.. There will be nothing about all of that complicated babble.. Because i know i sure as hell don’t understand any of that, nor do i really care.. What i do care about however is Reaper and what’s going to happen next..!!

I just thought of something. Remember when Sam caught his parents having an argument inside a drawn circle.? if they weren’t demons then how would they have known that a circle could protect their conversation from the devil. It’s not like the devil would have said “hey, if you ever want to have a private conversation that i can’t hear, just draw a circle with chalk and stand inside it”…

I still dont get the parents, and how they fit in to the story. We’ve got the Devil, Sam (we’re guessing the son of God), and then his parents. You think maybe his parents are good angels? We haven’t seen any of those as yet. After all the Devil really hates the Dad.
Maybe his Dad is such a powerful demon that he threatens the Devil as well in some other way

i think that the “devil” could just be a demon, because he says that he used to love god, he could be one of the angels that took the wrong side.
this could also mean that sams “dad” could be the devil.

i believe that the devil must be the devil not how he is onli a representative as when he appeared when they were trying to kill him with the sword they all ran because it was satan and as they had met him before it means in my mind that he is defo the devil as some of you have said but if not then it is a hole in the storyline

Interesting comments so far. Here’s my guess at a potential story-line: Ray Wise (RW) is indeed the Devil, and Sam is in fact his son. The pact RW made w/ Sam’s parents was to heal Sam’s “dad” who was sick - just like they said (can’t get any more ‘not-sick’ than immortal as seen in the finale, no?) In return, the parents would continue the guise of being Sam’s true parents until such time when RW would ‘employ’ Sam a reaper. (In the finale Sam’s father mentioned a secret he was forbidden to tell). So why does RW do this? By forcing Sam to be a reaper (and returning nasty souls to Hell), this will gain the good graces of God and ensure Sam’s ultimate ascension into Heaven. In an earlier episode (the premiere, maybe?) when RW and Sam were talking about the ‘big picture’, RW said something like “Hey, I know. In the end, I lose” (not certain about the exact line, but it went something like that). So rather than see his son suffer the same fate as his own, the Devil concocts this ruse to save Sam. [In one episode RW mentioned his love for God (which is true after all - Lucifer was an Angel before the Fall); so why couldn’t he extend this love for his son?] Just a theory… =)

very well ideas indeed but don’t you guys think that Sam Oliver is a devils son why? well I think because the devils is teaching him everything he knows by telling him btw Sam’s missions of capturing souls like the one with lust and ext. and I do also Like the theory of immortality of sam’s father and mother. But its not our ideas that the directors use. So we have to wait for the second season to come out.
For my final conclusion I would like to say that sam is the devils son and thats why there is a special force protecting him and maybe the devil was playing with sam when he was making out with Cadi(Cadi can’t be the daughter of the devil since her true face was the same when sam used the glasses that the devil gave him) the glass behind them shattered - like the contract with Greg and using his evil thoughts to create a masked killer.
this is just my theory.
